Let’s Meet Lindsay:

Lindsay has spent the majority of her career guiding her clients to feel their best, in body, mind, and soul. Massage Therapist, Makeup Artist, Akashic Records Reader may be career titles she holds, but Therapist, Confident, Cheerleader and Friend tend to ring true as well.

While on her own quest for a more balanced lifestyle, Lindsay created the Four Pillar Method for Balanced Living. Wellness, Self-care, Personal Development tools and Relationships are the main pillars of focus, and through exploring each pillar in combination with the others, she was able to create the balance in her life she so desperatley needed.

Sharing this unique method with others drives Lindsay’s purpose of healing others, and helping people live their best, most balanced lives.

I’m Lindsay Walter, aka the Balanced Lifestylist. You may be asking yourself, “what is a Balanced Lifestylist anyway?”

To me, it’s simple. I help people reclaim balance in their life, whether it be work/life or beyond. I do this by offering examples of micro-shifts (The power of the Micro-Shift™️ is that it’s meant to be a small energetic output, with a major life impact) in their daily living based on my 4 pillar method for balanced living . Wellness, self-care, personal development tools, and relationships make up the 4 pillars. Making micro-shifts under one, or a combination of the four pillars can create time in your day, bring your home, or personal energy back into balance, and help your reclaim joy and rhythm back to your daily life.

“When you’re ready to make a change in your appearance, you make an appointment with your hairstylist. If’ you’re sprucing up your wardrobe or home you may see a fashion or home stylist. I come in when life feels overwhelming, and help reclaim balance in an attainable, affordable, sustainable way. I’m your balanced lifestylist!”

FEATURED ON

Lindsay’s journey to reclaiming balance.

Balance. That’s quite a word, isn’t it? What is balance? Equilibriam? Equality? Shared energetic input and output?

According to the Oxford Dictionary, Balance is defined as, “an even distribution of weight enabling someone or something to remain upright and steady.”

During moments in life where I’m searching for balance, I find myself taking on too much. I’m not evenly distributing the load that is my life at home and work, thus finding it hard to feel like I could remain upright and steady. It’s those moments where I feel like I could lose it all, or simply just collapse.

Seven years ago, when I decided that Balance would be my word of the year, I realized something. Actually I believe Facebook reminded me by posting a memory fo mine that It was, in fact, the 3rd year in a row that I had chosen Balance as my word.

Clearly the efforts that I had been making to reclaim balance in my life weren’t working. It was time to try something new. It was time to make a shift in all aspects of my life if I was truly make sustainable changes.

I took a multidimensional approach to reclaiming balance in my life. Using a combination of  wellness, self-care, personal development tools and exploration, I was able to find pockets in my days and weeks of life that started to feel balanced. I noticed  situations where I would normally feel anxious, I was grounded and calm. My general feeling over overwhelm was gone, or at least lessened in most instances.

I like using micro-shifts in my approach balance in daily life, because it’s simply a small energetic output, with a major life impact. Micro-shifts generally don’t cost any more than a moment of time.

It’s using Pillar 3, personal development tools to create energetic boundaries with people in your life to maintain sanity.  Shifting your focus on Pillar 1, wellness by starting every lunch break with a 10 minute walk to help get your steps in, and get some blood flowing. Simple shifts like these may seem insignificant, but they make huge, long lasting changes in your days that create big, balanced impacts on your life as a whole.

I urge your to take a piece of paper, create the 4 pillars, Wellness, Self-care, Personal development tools, and relationships, and take the time to create a list under each pillar of what aspects in your life you’d like to see more balance. I do this every time I feel overwhelm sink in. Now make a list of little changes or micro-shifts you can make in those pillars to reclaim your balance. Try it for 30 days and send me a message or tag me on social media (@balanced.lifestylist) telling me how it has helped you as well.

Lindsay’s motto for Balance:

“True balance is a never ending journey
